All Souls Unitarian Church

Oklahomans for Equality expresses our deep gratitude to Rev. Marlin Lavanhar,
senior minister at All Souls Unitarian Church who traveled to Uganda to speak against a controversial bill that would allow the death penalty for certain same-sex behavior. Homosexual behavior is already illegal in Uganda, carrying prison sentences of up to 14 years. President of Oklahomans for Equality Toby Jenkins said

“Rev Lavanhar is a champion for the victims of discrimnation and imitates the great faith leaders of the past. He heard the cries of an oppressed and doomed people and left the comfort and security of his homeland and has denounced religious and cruel homophobia dressed in government policy.”
