CYBERCENTER

David Bohnett CyberCenter

Thanks to the David Bohnett Foundation, the David Bohnett CyberCenter contains 10 computer stations with new computers, internet connectivity, and current MS Office Products.  The space is configured to allow classes to utilized the computers and/or the internet access to supplement learning.  The space is setup with printing capabilities with paper for printing purchased from the front desk;  cost to print is $0.10 per page.

Hours:
Monday – Saturday 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Sunday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Reserved occasionally for special programs or classes.

In 1998 David Bohnett provided the funding for the creation of a CyberCenter at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.  David’s vision was that the CyberCenter would offer educational, research, and recreational opportunities to the local gay and lesbian community via access to the Internet. He believed that the CyberCenter should provide a full range of Internet and business software available for business and personal computing as well as community education and training through classes on software use and the Internet.

The CyberCenter was soon the most popular destination at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and has provided a well designed ‘blue-print’ for successful facilities nationwide.  Oklahomans for Equality is thankful for being selected as one of the locations to house the David Bohnett CyberCenter.  Since 2005 the CyberCenter has provided internet and computer access to this community.
