The Allie Jensen Memorial Art Gallery in Recognition of National Native American Heritage Month will feature
Schellye Bryant’s “Painting with Passion”
Artist Reception Thursday, November 4th, at 6:00 p.m.

In a small Oklahoma town, in 1964 an artist was born.  Schellye Bryant could be found as young as 4 years old hiding under her bed, pen in hand, forming the beginnings of her adult profession.  She would later further her education in graphic design at Oklahoma State University. Her skillful techniques with acrylics show a depth of emotions ranging from deep brokenness to comforting euphoria. Schellye’s talents extend to murals, sign creation, illustrations of all kinds, and caricatures, specializing in soulful portraits, bringing loved ones to life. She has been featured in numerous art shows held in Texas and was awarded the esteemed honor of Gold Bars for her advanced illustrations.  It is with honor and humble gratitude that Schellye presents to you, her two-part series. These powerful pieces will sensually capture the eye with compelling depth, showing the gravity of thought that will embrace your very soul as visual calmness is attained. -  Schellye Bryant

The show opens at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center located at 621 E. 4th Street Tulsa OK 74120 on Monday, November 1st, with COVID measures in place for those Non-vaccinated. The Artist Reception is Thursday, November 4th, at 6:00 p.m. with the artist Schellye Bryant. The exhibit continues throughout the month.
