NAME AND GENDER MARKER CHANGE SCHOLARSHIP
Submissions are currently closed. In February and March, we received a lot of applications, which is amazing! But we need to take some time to contact everyone and to raise some more funds. We will make an announcement whenever applications are open again.
Starting in 2021, Oklahomans for Equality will offer scholarships for transgender persons seeking a name and gender marker changes. This scholarship will cover the cost of an attorney and all filing fees. The scholarship will not cover the cost to change documentation.
Applicants will be chosen based on financial need and a dedication to volunteer service. This scholarship is open to anyone in Oklahoma, not just the Tulsa area. We will select scholarships monthly as funds allow.
If you have not heard from anyone, do not fear! We are working our way through everyone as our lawyer can work with people.
If you have questions or aren't sure if your application was received, please email alex.wade@okeq.org.
